McKayLeigh's Birthday Gift





McKayLeigh's 2nd birthday is on Sunday. She got an early present...a big girl bed. I wanted to update her room and make it more little-girly and not 'Baby' any more. These pictures don't do it justice, but you get the idea. It is really cute and she likes it. Adam says it is definitely GIRLY. Which is something fairly new around our house. Anyway...take a look.

Happy Birthday...To Me!!

Today is my birthday. Yeah! I am 32 years old. Wow! Just last night Ben was thinking about his future and was saying that in only 8 more years he will be able to drive. Well, that got ME thinking. In only 8 more years I will be 40!! Wow! But as Adam reminded me...I need to only worry about the stuff I have control over and can change. I can't change the years from rolling by, but I can make the best of them. And as a present to myself, I have reached my first weight goal. Horay! Now, my next goal is 30 more pounds by August 1st. Little steps is the way to go.

And as another present to myself, I found a new website that I just love and wanted to share with everyone. It has a bunch of stuff you can print off to help you in your daily lives and they are all ready to go. There are grocery lists, task lists, etc. It is really cool. Find Your Happy Weight

I found this link to SELF magazine's tool to find your HAPPY WEIGHT. You put in your lifestyle and some other personal stuff and it helps you figure out what your best weight should be. Mine ended up being 166 lbs. I have been trying to lose weight and my ultimate goal was somewhere between 150-180 lbs. So this is right in the middle and I think I can be happy with that. But try it out and see what what it says for you...just for fun. (By the way...since the first of the year I have lost close to 40 lbs. That was my first little goal and I gave myself until June to do it. Now I need to make another one...DARN IT!!
